The people behind Svartskogen

 

Not far from the city of Lycksele you find Svartskogen Experience, a newly started (2023) small family business offering exclusive adventures with our Siberian husky family members. Svartskogen consists of Christian Dahlback and Susanna Salmijärvi.

 

Christian is mainly working with technical consulting within construction and energy. In team Svartskogen Christian is responsible for preparing the trails, keeping the fire going and making home baked fika and food.

 

Susanna Salmijärvi, a former PhD-student in philosophy and muay thai fighter now mainly working as reception manager at Hotel Lapland in Lycksele. In Team Svartskogen Susanna takes care of the daily work with the dogs and is the main guide of our tours.

The ideas of Svartskogen Experience

The uniqueness of Svartskogen Experience is that whatever tour you choose, it will be exclusive for you and the people you bring.
 

Joining our adventures means you become part of our family consisting of us and our pack of Siberian Huskies. All of our adventures takes off at our home in Arvträsk, located by the beautiful lake Nedre Arvträsket. We want our guests to experience a "homely" feeling - letting our visitors take part of all kinds of activities involved during our adventures: it could be helping out getting the dogs ready for a tour, feeding them, making up a fireplace, cooking coffee by the fire or simply cuddling with the dogs.

We take it as a strength being a small business because it makes us able to be flexible and customize our adventures from your special wishes.
 

One of the cornerstones of Svartskogen Experience is our love for animals and nature. Both people and huskies of Svartskogen love taking our guests through the surrounding fairytale forests. We wish to show our guests the healing and nurturing power of being one with animals and nature.
